11/4/201915:0017:00Radisson Blu SkySt. Petersburg + LübeckSvava Arnardóttir"Challenging the structures of power"What would the world look like if you waved a magic wand where anything could come true? The session aims to discuss how women can claim their position in a society where not everyone gets the same opportunities. How do we reduce the gender gap in management positions, and have more women taking up executive roles? Women account for less than a quarter of the management positions worldwide. Despite all the campaigns on equality and diversity, the trend has not changed leaving us wondering what could be done differently. How can women prepare themselves to serve in top positions, when is the right time to ask for change and what should they expect from corporates and policy makers? Is it enough that females take on these formally traditional roles, or do we need to look further into the organizational structures and power inequalities at play?

This session will have thought provoking, experienced, female speakers outside of JCI who share their experiences and inspiration.
Following the inspiring panel speakers, we would like to open the floor for more action oriented discussion by the participants where we will seek for new ideas, things to try and implement in an agile way to empower females and non-binary individuals to take on leadership roles within JCI and/or their communities. Ie. not just talking about things - but developing the next steps and testing them out. By inspiration, experience and testing out new ideas, we can move mountains. What kind of magic will you add to this session?

More and more companies realize how important it is to infuse that entrepreneurial mindset into the workplace, but they don’t always know how to do it.

About 10 years ago Ronen Gafni and Simcha Gluckstarted FreshBiz. This game is a business simulation that speaks to all cultures and backgrounds by understanding basic human behavioral elements. The experience is both fun and profound. Playing the game physically rewires the brain to become more open, flexible and creative.

During the 60 minutes of game play participants must work together, communicate and be creative, in order to overcome challenges & win the game as a team. The FreshBiz Game experience gives immediate reflection on how people play business in real life, what holds them back and what makes them shine. It also demonstrates what’s possible when we choose to play with a fresh mindset & let go of old beliefs which no longer serve us.
